It has come to light over the years that more and more Lloyds bank customers were told that they were eligible or that they qualified for a Gold account. This certainly would make you feel like you are a special customer. This package bank account, priced at £12.95 a month, came with a selection of benefits (see full list below) and is no longer available for new customers.
The banks chose specific names for their package bank accounts, names that sound exciting, exclusive, names that are attractive to customers. This sales strategy is used in many industries to make customers feel as though they are part of something special. The problem is, many of these customers didn’t need any of the products included in the accounts. In fact, in some cases, customers weren’t even aware that they had been upgraded to a Gold account.
