Short answer – maybe not. Despite its wonderfully seductive name it’s a PACKAGED BANK ACCOUNT, and as thousands have already discovered, these PBA’s were often a very bad deal for the customers who were paying for them. Don’t take our word for it; Which Magazine declared that PBA’s are among the ten most useless financial products they’ve investigated.
But it really is much worse than that, because PBA’s were often disgracefully unsuitable for the people who were sold them. And if that’s the case, they were mis-sold.
Let’s put this as plainly as can be – if you have or at any time have had a Halifax Ultimate Reward Current Account it’s time to have it looked at. There’s a good chance the bank will end up sending you a nice little cheque. In fact if you’ve had the account for a long time it may even be a nice BIG cheque.
There are plenty of people who might have been delighted to receive an ultimate reward. In reality, to the banks they were just an ultimate profit opportunity. If the account wasn’t suitable for your individual needs, that ‘ultimate reward’ should be winging its way to you before too long.
There’s nothing to loose, and every possibility of a windfall. It’s YOUR money the banks are sitting on.
