We’ve been noticing some traffic to our website from people searching on http://ClaimforPBA.com so we checked it out. Seems they are sending SMS messages saying people are owed £2001.33 refund from monthly bank account fees.
Is it a Scam?
In short – yes. Your bank will never tell anybody but you or your representatives about your personal account and any money owed. (see our full findings here)
So can I claim back any money from my bank?
The answer to this question is yes – If you pay a monthly fee on your bank account for the added benefit of insurances such as phone, car, travel and you either don’t need these insurances, or were not sold the account correctly in the first place – you can claim back the monthly fees and 8% interest.

From what we can ascertain these guys are spamming people with unsolicited SMS messages claiming that they have received a £2001.33 refund from your monthly bank account fees, and you need to fill out their form on the claimforpba.com website to transfer it to you.
Your bank would never divulge this type of information to a third party, so we can only assume that they are hoping to hook people with these messages in order to capture their details under false pretences, and then sell the data on to claims management companies.
We cheked out their website on scam adviser and also their number on whocalls me – 2 trusted websites that give accurate information and allow public feedback on sites and spam txts and calls. The results were not too promising:
