The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) have announced that the 29th August 2019 will be the deadline for claiming back any mis-sold Payment Protection Insurance. The wide spread scandal started over 10 years ago when banks were giving employees incentives to hard sell PPI. This resulted in many customers paying large amounts for an insurance that they didn’t want, need or understand. In some cases, customers weren’t even aware they had it. Very unfair, if you ask us!
Arnold Schwarzenegger Wants You to “Do it Now!”
Back in August, the FCA rolled out a nationwide campaign, featuring a peculiar 60 second advert with action hero Arnold Schwarzenegger, encouraging people to make a decision on claiming. The tongue in cheek advert features the animatronic head of Arnie cruising around a supermarket shouting at customers to “Do it Now!”

If you then follow the link through to the FCA’s website, you might find you struggle to get any relevant information. The website is a mass of links that all point to the same places. The information is minimal, it doesn’t give you the tools you need to ensure that you get a positive result from your claim. It’s very confusing and not at all user friendly.
